Gaymer.Social / Gaymer.Coffee is no longer available

Gaymer.Social and Gaymer.Coffee, our Mastodon instances for LGBTQ+ gaymers, were discontinued in September 2026.

Rising running costs and the ongoing maintenance burden, combined with the loss of hosting infrastructure in the NorthC data centre fire, made it impossible to keep either instance online. The fire meant complete data loss — no export or migration of account data was possible — and rebuilding both instances from the ground up wasn't something we could take on. As a result, we made the sad decision to discontinue the service.

We aren't currently recommending a successor community. If we become aware of one and our decision changes, we will announce it on this page.

This service will be greatly missed. Thank you all for the memories over the years and being part of our journey since 2021.
